Secure delivery is a system, not a final gate

// 03

Security work becomes more useful when it shortens feedback loops instead of appearing only before release.

Core idea

A final assessment can find defects. A secure delivery system changes how often those defects are introduced and how quickly they are understood.
01

Move threat decisions upstream

Teams do not need a heavyweight threat model for every change. They do need a repeatable way to notice when a change affects identity, trust boundaries, sensitive data, public exposure, or a high-impact operation.

02

Automate the repeatable; review the contextual

Dependency checks, secret detection, static analysis, and policy checks can provide fast baseline feedback. Manual review remains essential where intent, business logic, chained behaviour, and abuse paths matter.

  • Make findings actionable
  • Assign ownership
  • Record accepted risk
  • Verify remediation
  • Tune noisy controls
03

Design for response

Prevention is incomplete without visibility and recovery. Useful logs, controlled access, dependency inventories, rotation paths, and rehearsed incident responsibilities reduce the time between detecting a problem and containing it.
